Registration for one-time assistance till May 26: Govt

DIMAPUR, MAY 23 (NPN) | Publish Date: 5/23/2020 1:25:21 PM IST
The state government Saturday informed that the registration of stranded citizens
 which opened today, to avail one-time financial assistance through iamstranded.
nagaland.gov.in portal, will be made available till 10 a.m. of May 26. Informing 
during his daily briefing, principal secretary Home, Abhijit Sinha also said that 
Till 4 p.m. of May 23, the state received 3985 applications. He also said that a
 total of 11,784 citizens had signed up in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland– Visitors App.
During the past 14 days, Sinha said 2095 persons submitted their travel
 self-declaration while 1290 persons were being digitally monitored through the
 nCOVID-19 visitors App.

The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2020, which seeks amendment to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, proposes to include "public servants" in the prohibited category and decrease administrative expenses through foreign funds by an organisation to 20 per cent from 50 per cent earlier.   The Bill was introduced in the House on Sunday.
