1 shot dead in Dimapur

Dimapur, September 22: One person was shot dead in the wee hours Tuesday near IMC Hall. The body was discovered by the residents in the morning with blood stains all over, near a godown.

When contacted, PRO Police, Relo T Aye said the dead body of a person shot dead was found near the roadside in the IMC Hall area.

As per initial investigation, it is known that the deceased with bullet injuries is from Dhemaji district of Assam and we are investigating it thoroughly, he said.

When asked about the motive behind the killing of a non Naga, Relo Aye said, “We are investigating the matter and till so far the motive is unknown and only after investigation we will come to know it.”

Meanwhile, according to a driving license, the deceased has been identified as Jiten Gogoi.
